New media art exhibition in Liepaja November 7 – November 30, 2019

We welcome new media and contemporary artists to apply for the exhibition related to the the theme of this years festival Human. Nature – how does gene modification, reality augmentation, mediated communication and and other nature/culture hybrids develop the path of societies while aggression, suppression and neglect is often still seen as “natural”?

Your work should explore (but is not limited to):
– body modification/augmentation;
– interfaces/tools for raising empathy
– machinery of aggression, suppression and neglect
– future landscape, future food and other nature/culture hybrids
– alternative living spaces (virtual, networked etc.)

We especially encourage screen-based art, net and sound art works, video, photography, new media art installations and conceptual work.
